Quick Note: Pirate Radio Link Moved

Just a quick note… I moved the digitalflood Pirate Radio link into the top menu under “Music” (if you hover over the category it will show up in the drop down menu as well as the page itself). If you recall, in df v10 it used to be there; but when we went to v11 I had some complications getting the link to work. I had a bit of a break through this afternoon and realized a easy way to pull it off. So now things are back to where they should be. I also tidied up and compacted the right hand menu items to keep things easy to navigate.

DF.com on YouTube

As promised, you will now find in our newly added Video section a group of videos that feeds from our “Favorites” list from YouTube.com (found on the site here). We’ll be adding more videos over time, but there are some of our top perennial favorites posted already to get things going. Of course, you’re always welcome to drop us a line via comments on this post to let us know what videos you’d like to see included. We just might dig what you’re cooking and post it. Who knows. We just might.

To make room on the main menu bar I changed the Visual Artwork section to the smaller length Artwork section. Content remains the same though I did delete some duplicate Graphic Art that I found.

You’ll also find in the right hand side menu some quick picks of the top external DF.com sites from around web the under “Beyond DF.com – Top Picks” heading. The complete list of external sites can be found in the Beyond DF.com section.

Our expansion around the web is complete at this point (at least for the time being). We’re far from done though… we’ve got a few more tricks up our sleeves that we’ll be showing off over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

New Polls Feature

Development continues on df.com pretty steadily. The latest feature available can be found in the right menu bar, under “Latest Poll”. We’ve also added a Polls Archive section that will track older polls as they expire (permanently located in the top menu under the Contact link sub-menu). You can vote once per Internet connection on each poll to keep things fair as possible (I know… people will still abuse it, but whatever). I think this is a viable feature for those of you who simply do not have time to fill out the Contact form or comment on a given page/post. It also adds another nice layer of both feedback and interactivity. I’ve found during my tenure of a decade plus in the Internet industry if there is one thing people really like filling out– it is polls. Maybe because it’s a quick way to kill time. Maybe because people just like expressing their opinion. Either way, I hope you participate and voice your opinion so we know more about what you would like from df.com. As always, we welcome your feedback and encourage you to use the aforementioned Contact form to shoot us any suggestions for polls that you may have.
