Things That Go Crunk In The Night

Posted on by

The moon is glistening. There is a distant howl in the dark black night. A slow mist crawls in. Then the break dancing vampires invade! If this week’s episode was a musical that’s about how it would open. When it came time to mix the annual digitalflood Pirate Radio I decided that this year I would use nothing, but bands who’ve had someone die or an artist who themselves died. This is a pretty open genre as anyone who follows the obituaries knows that every day people die. Of course, musicians tend to have a bad habit of dying more frequently than the rest of us. Things just get easier at that point– Instant Pirate Radio Halloween show theme! M’Weezy isn’t feeling very well due to a cold so this show is another mega mix with over 70 minutes of non-stop live mixing. Hop on over to the Pirate Radio section and download digitalflood Pirate Radio Volume 4 Episode 3. One way or another, it’s sure to scare the daylights out of you.

DF Pirate Radio – “The Milwaukee’s Best Session”

Title: Vol. 4 Episode 1 (Click Link to Play) Rel: 10/12/08
Description: “The Milwaukee’s Best Session” – What happens when you drink 12 Milwaukee’s Best Ice beers and go wild on a turn table? This episode is what! Very random mix of rap, classic rock, dance hall, and industrial style music. The session was recorded live in one take with the radio banners inserted in post production. There is no dialogue or special guests. Just lots (60 plus minutes) of straight music remixed to DJ digitalflood heart’s content. This is the first DJ set released by DJ digitalflood in almost a year, but it’s well worth the wait.

The Inevitable Return

After nearly one year on hiatus and without a consistent release schedule for over two years, Digitalflood Pirate Radio is back! Jump over to the Pirate Radio Webcasts section to download Volume 4 Episode 1. Over 60 solid minutes of my mixing. I get eclectic (and strange as usual) crafting an up and down ride Cut Like Crack Style. The result: Sonic chaos and soundtrack you’re bound to dance to. Let’s get into it!
