Groucho Spent The Hiatus Trying New Brews-- That Silly Groucho!

Groucho Spent The Hiatus Trying New Brews– That Silly Groucho!

Another hiatus– it’s what you’ve come to expect. I tend to hibernate between ventures at digitalflood.com. So with my latest hibernation/hiatus I have been up to some very cool stuff. Most of it has been professional development and related to my day job. Those ongoing daily forays into coding, server building, and network engineering have expanded my online capabilities. Now it is time to reconvene, update the site, and get things back in production mode here.

I also spent a great deal of time with my wife and two daughters. I’m blessed to have such a great family and as such it is only appropriate for me to dedicate time with them. Couple that with my mother, sister, inlaws, and such– well you can see I needed a lot of time with my family and that too has helped stoke those old creative fires.

I’m sure you too have been up to some pretty cool stuff and are itching for a that good old df.com stupidity that you have come to love and cherish– if not too bad. It’s coming any how.  😉

DF Pirate Radio – “Oi Vai, This Ain’t Kosher!”

Title: Vol. 5 Episode 2 (Click Link to Play) Rel: 11/28/09
Description:Oi Vai, This Ain’t Kosher!” – After ten months on hiatus, digitalflood Pirate Radio returns to finish off the season (Volume 5) bringing their irrelevant, witty, and always original web cast back to the Internet. This episode kicks off that return with DJ digitalflood and special guest co-host Reverend Damian Baker. M’Weezy is off and busy with pursuing her Registered Nursing AS degree and with her not around the question quickly becomes– just how out of control will DJ digitalflood get without M’Weezy being around to reign him in? You’ll have to listen in to find out. You’ll also hear about the good Reverend’s recent change of religion, Halloween trick or treat tomfoolery, and get to listen to his latest off the wall playlist. It’s a heavily 70s funk and soul influenced mix, but there’s bits of nu metal and rap in there as well. The conversation does take some strange detours and you’ll end up knowing more about the good Reverend than you may have ever wanted to know to begin with, but one things for sure– you’re sure to laugh the hardest you have in a long time. Keep your ears tuned for the MLK Jr. bobble head reference. Classic!

Happy Holidays

As we draw to the end of yet another year and reflect on all that was 2008, I’d like just take a second to thank you all for making this year one of many accomplishments. One never knows what to expect when they make a return after two plus years on hiatus, but I’m pleased to say that I personally feel both accomplished with how well things went and humbled by all your continued patronage. I’d like to wish you and all you hold dear both a very Happy Christmas, as well as, wishes for a joyous New Year. This year has been one of the best gifts I could ever have had and I’d like to thank you for being part of that.

Patience Is A Virtue

I’ve been really busy with work and that’s slowed down production a bit, but I wanted to make sure everybody knows I’m not MIA or going on hiatus or something like that. I said a month or so back when we kicked into full production mode that we weren’t going to return to weekly segments and this type of situation is exactly why I didn’t want to over promise while under delivering. The good news though that soon I’ll be able to get back to doing what I do best– drop new tracks and shows right here on DF.com. MC Mary and myself did recently cut a new Pirate Radio that needs post-production still, but there is definitely going to be at least one more talk show Pirate Radio before the end of 2008. I also owe you both another Beat Feast mix tape and a little surprise before the end of year. Both will be delivered soon enough as well. I appreciate your patience and continued support– keep believing because we’ll deliver for sure!

The Inevitable Return

After nearly one year on hiatus and without a consistent release schedule for over two years, Digitalflood Pirate Radio is back! Jump over to the Pirate Radio Webcasts section to download Volume 4 Episode 1. Over 60 solid minutes of my mixing. I get eclectic (and strange as usual) crafting an up and down ride Cut Like Crack Style. The result: Sonic chaos and soundtrack you’re bound to dance to. Let’s get into it!
