Classic DF – 12/6/99

Dec. 6, 1999: Without inciting more of a riot then it is worth, Marlin’s Place named me one of two “Dimwits” of the year. Of course, as is typical response, he took it down after a while. However, I am flattered by the award and take to heart to know that I was described by Marlin that what, “…(he) didn’t know however, is that (he) had just tossed a road flare onto a puddle of gasoline”. I stand by the fact that DigitalFl00d may be the last so called “news” pages to keep its posts up. Yes, I stand by my word and I never delete an entry. For as fanatical as it may sound I really believe what I say here. So proudly I stand by my co-celebrant (okay, maybe not proudly… never the less) Korpios as a Dimwit. Blind to the truth (or at least too firm in my position for Marlin’s liking). Either way Melissa‘s got my back and well… that’s all that matters. For a wife is just not “your woman”, she is your compatriot and companion. The one you trust with everything. Your one true love. A couple days ago while driving somewhere in my “pinto” (it’s a ZX2 damn it… you know the car that beat several family sedan in acceleration!). That stupid “Sun Screen” song come on 92.3FM K-rock NY’s Solid State program. I kept hearing the line, “If your life is miserable… this is as good as it gets”. Wow, and they say Marilyn Manson is nihilist! What a depressing load of crap. I’ve learned one lesson in life: Stick by your guns. If some one thinks your wrong and every one else thinks your right. Hell, if you just darn well know your right… stick with it. As soon as I started believing in myself that is when things turned around and contrary to popular songs– life got better. Respect is only gained by others when you respect yourself first. I truly believe that good karma starts from within and works its way out. Who knows? Maybe one day you too can live as happily as I do… or at least get a Dimwit of the Year award :)

Classic DF – 12/3/99

Dec. 3, 1999: Noteworthy News: NASA has landed on Mars with a space craft that will “hear” what Mars sounds like… sort of. A promising new drug seems to eliminate leukemia, a big step towards eradicating cancer. A new cookie “hole” has been found in e-mail. The Free PC movement has flopped on its face. Chanukah starts at sun down this evening. EarthLink has a hole in its software. Germany may ban Windows 2000, but not due to monopoly problems… we’re talking religion here. Keep an eye on the stock market… it just capped 11, 000 plus as the NASDAQ continues to soar. Look for an early pull out around Christmas (no pun intended) and another normalization period… maybe :) That’s if Y2K doesn’t obliterate us, LOL. DF 10990 News: Marlin’s Place features a response to yesterday’s post… big surprise. And as predicted (maybe I’m physic too) he denied everything and got pissy. Of course, innocent people don’t get pissy, but then again he may not be exactly innocent after all, hmmmmm. The lesson to be learned Sam: don’t open your big fucking mouth if you don’t have anything interesting to say (BTW I didn’t say anything to anyone… however, I forgot you trust the whore who screwed you over again and again over the people who had your back while she was doing it). Mervernation makes sense of the the whole auto industry trend towards rice burners and ummmm… he’s right. Melissa defends me over on her news page, but more importantly she has been sober for over seven months today. Once again I’m proud of her and love her with all my heart :) Rock‘s web page is still down, but you got to dig that white on white motif! Speaking of Rock and his server I’ve come to a conclusion. I’m ready to make a public statement on DF’s opinion on Jeph.Net‘s future. In recent days Tom has added his Korpios.Net. I see he has moved his stuff around. Undoubtedly, rumors have been flying that he is mad at Marlin and Red Raven for attempting to oust him. Jeff has let me know that Tom is a necessity to this web page’s continued service. Immortalis asked me if I was backing Tom the other day. So here is the response: I’m backing DF.com. It’s Jeff’s server so I leave it to Jeff to make the decision on what to do. Either way the virtual domain for azazel.digitalflood.com won’t get registered. And frankly almost every person has become as trust worthy as another with a few exceptions (you know who you are). I only wish that Immy’s web page was restored… and one day I hope that will come to pass. Clearly now the enemy is not one person. Nor is it one side, but multiple fragmented fights. I grow tired of the infighting. The hate mail. The eggs on my car (Jesus can’t you people grow up?). The accusations. The stupid posts back and forth. The dumb ass opinions of a bunch of ummmmm…. dumb ass opinion people :) I’d rather focus on my marriage, my wife, my family, and my job then on them. So I will continue to work on a revamped DF.com Portal. I will continue to develop a new interface. And yes, I will continue to decimate the news to the masses that matters. BTW Tom… I got dibs on Warwick 10990… hell, I coined the phrase… And that is what I will continue to do… piss everyone off! Stay tuned for our next post when in our upcoming holiday post Mel and I will be conquering a small third world country…

Classic DF – 12/2/99

Dec. 2, 1999: Noteworthy News: WTO has turned into some kind of sixties style rally. Clinton has used the convention to attempt to stop child labor. Liberals are pissed. Ummm… I think the main problem is their wasn’t enough good programming this season on television to occupy time better wasted. A Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial has been proposed, which may be the only way black man in Washington next in line to a president, LOL. If DF.com has got you all ready to post your music to the net as the next big thing and a way into instant stardom, you may want to read this first :) New Zealand has elected a new government… did I mention that one of the members of Parliament is transgendered… boy does that hit home. Yesterday was World AIDS Day (their is nothing funny about that). Want to feel stupid… click here. Guess what, another rap artist is in trouble... I believe it was Tupac Shukar who said, “You can’t put money in someone’s hands and expect them to act like they aren’t from a ghetto when the gutter is all they ever knew.” Brittney Spears is now legal for those pedophiles out there who are interested… I guess it’s back to obsessing about the Olsen twins for you guys. Another lovely rant essay at Suck.com. Not So Noteworthy DF News: God, say you’ll revamp and they e-mail. Okay, I get the picture, sheesh! Check out the mystery post for Dec. 1st on Marlin’s Place. I believe it is a response to my Nov. 30th post. If what you are implying Sam is that I pointed fingers… I haven’t said who it is yet. And if your wondering if I’m going to seek police action at this point with no proof of guilt (to the best of your knowledge)… all I want to know is who is guilty? What are you trying to say? Are you admitting unlawful carnal knowledge (knowing it before it be known to the public in other words)? Or are you trying to be some sort of ass kissing escape goat hero with an alibi to someone? Who? What are you talking about? Um, to put it bluntly who are you trying to save? I know what you’re saying… that’ s not what that post meant… maybe what you’re really saying is that I’m trying to be vague and mysterious. That your some kind of dark avenger of evil that can vile and degrade you without proof. That’s mature? I quote now: Note to certain individuals, immature actions beget immature actions, however, alibi’s suck, so point your fingers elsewhere. Amazing how the most mature show their true colors so easily. What immature actions? What did I do to who? Are you saying that a certain event sparked this? Are you saying that Dorothy Sharpe is to blame? Are you admitting guilt? Your web page has been saved and noted… Here is the lesson: Knowledge is power definitively, but maturity is knowing how to use that power best.

Classic DF – 10/23/99

Oct. 23, 1999: Last night I got a call from Covalence, and much like a boss firing an employee after they quit, told me I was exhile. Furthermore, I’m not to contact him, BUT my wife, brother, and mother can… ummmm… why would they want to? After all, if you “exhile” me then why would they want to stay in contact with him? Hmmmm… more disallusions of a sick young man indeed. Of course this has liberated me of any ties to his sorry ass (which most of the people I know are tired of anyhow). To quote Covalence directly, “I have become what I most feared.” Yes, that is true… I have become my own person and that was my original intent from day one. Talked to Gundam too. He apologized for his actions and in turn Mel and I have forgiven him… in the end Gundam was upset and that made him angry. So why forgive one person and not another? Well, first off Gunny has respect and was nice enough to talk about it. Instead of telling me how he dissapproves we actaully found out what the root of the problem was. The conversation with Covalence on the other hand became a “I can’t believe your so wrong Chris” conversation… and if I was the object of abuse how was that my fault? As Gun and Mel pointed out, it isn’t. Second, Gun has a sense of honor and values the friendship with loyalty. Finally, there was a valued lesson learned, those who care will actaully say it and be able to prove it. ‘Nuff said. I’ve been taking Tae-robics. It’s some where between dance, kickboxing, and martial arts with stretching. I really like the class alot and it really works well. Look for some DF stuff soon: Mel is going to be posting a new single soon and it is phat yo :) Kevin and Gundam are forming a band together. Should really be exciting stuff coming out of there and I’m looking forward to what they end up producing. Well, hopefully now that 90210 part deux is over I can get back to ranting about important stuff again LOL :)
