DF.com Returns to MySpace

All of three years ago we had a digitalflood Pirate Radio profile in the MySpace.com Music section. We had over 14,000 friends. We were routinely the number one band by views within a 20 mile radius of Warwick, NY. We had some 500 views per day of our profile. In short, we ran the joint.

The problem was MySpace was in its Golden era and unable to deal with all the traffic on the site. As such, they began hunting down the highest viewed pages that weren’t on a major label and weren’t part of MySpace Tom’s clique. With that, we were targeted, terminated, and told we violated copyright law.

Well, the gold rush is over and so are the witch hunts on MySpace. With that we have launched a brand new profile on MySpace Music and we are once again ready to run the joint. Let’s do this thing.

The new profile can be found at: http://www.myspace.com/djdigitalflood

Be sure to add us to your social network! Be sure to tell all your friends! 14k connections here we come!

Oh MySpace… Stop Lying

hanks to all those “eyes and ears” out there that alerted me to the MySpace digitalflood.com block. It looks like My Space finally realized we’re legit and has lifted the ban thus making me happy in the process. To clarify to any of you who saw the false warning– DF.com has never put spyware or viruses on anyone’s PC (or even been hacked by others doing so). Nor do we spam or phish people into scams. I promise you we are 100% safe and even have parental controls in place to protect the kiddies. So there. 🙂

Classic DF – MySpace Profile Deleted

Current mood:  depressed
Category: MySpace

FAQ: What happened to myspace.com/digitalflood?

The short answer is I have been “deleted” thus I lost all 14,000 plus people I had on my previous music profile (http://www.myspace.com/digitalflood). I have also lost access to the URL and the ability to get any of that info back. Thus I restored my personal profile from backed up data on my hard drive. Yes, I am that much of a nerd that I keep my My Space CSS style sheet backed up for such an occasion. And no, My Space gave me no reason for the deletion though I am far from the first person to randomly be smited by My Space’s Nazi admin staff.

If you know somebody who had me and they ask what happened please tell them I didn’t delete them. Explain they can feel free to add me via http://www.myspace.com/digitalfl00d. The last name is “Welch”.

I will not be adding bands or whoring with this account. It is for personal friends only.

As far as fighting with My Space over my previous account, I’m too pissed now to do it level headed, but will be pursuing that down the road at some time. I’ll let you know how that goes.

Thanks for to everyone for quickly re-adding me. I missed you guys.
